What you'll do

If you’re passionate, versatile, self-motivated and driven, with a systematic and methodical approach, and would like to work within a fun, friendly but dedicated team, supporting the day-to-day management of our in-house DLO, then join Optivo as a Direct Services Team Assistant.

As a part of our Sussex Direct Services team, based at Haywood Way in Hastings, you will help Optivo maintain our properties, estates and neighbourhoods by scheduling and supporting our DLO Operatives in works including:
•    Fencing Repairs & Installations.
•    Void Property Clearances and Minor Property Repairs.
•    Bulk Waste / Fly-Tip Collection and Disposal.
•    Garden Clearances and Communal Grounds Maintenance.
•    Office Maintenance and Repairs.
•    Garage Inspections, Lock Changes and Clearances.
•    Jet Washing and Graffiti Removal.

Please note that this role is being offered on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract, working 25 hours per week. The role is office based and we envisage the successful applicant working Monday through Friday, 09:00-14:30, though there is some room to negotiate these hours for the right person.

What you’ll need

As part of a tight-knit team, you will be required to work closely with others, supporting colleagues both within Direct Services and other teams across the business.  You must be extremely customer focused, having good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues, partners and in particular, our residents, both verbally and in writing.
However, you will also need the ability to work alone at times, be self-motivated and able to solve challenges as they arise. Customer Satisfaction is a priority whilst working Efficiently and Productively with Value for Money in mind.

Working safely is paramount and you will require an awareness of and be required to understand written Risk and CoSHH Assessments; plus assess the risks involved with the works you may be scheduling.

An excellent level of numeracy and literacy is key, along with the computer skills sufficient to learn and operate our in-house systems and technology. A knowledge of industry standard software such as Microsoft office or similar, with the ability to build and update moderately sophisticated spreadsheets is desired. Previous experience of web-based CRM’s and Scheduling Platforms, plus Orchard, Proactis and Apex would be an advantage, but by no means a necessity – the ability to learn such systems quickly is more important; and full training will be provided.
Interested?

If you are passionate about the work you do and share our ambitions, we look forward to hearing from you.
